Gingoog City — Former Senate President Aquilino ‘Nene’ Pimentel, Jr discussed federalism to the local leaders in Gingoog City, here recently.
Pimentel was the guest speaker of the Forum on federalism on Saturday afternoon held at the Gingoog City Comprehensive National High School Covered Court.
The Forum was sponsored by the “Tulay ng Pagbabago.”
City Mayor Marie Guingona gave her welcome addressed and took the opportunity to thank former senate president.
Pimentel has emphasized difference between the present system and the federalism.
He also showed how important it is to change the system.
Talisayan Town Mayor Rommel Maslog and former mayor now municipal councilor Catherine Ifurung also attended the affair.
The discussion were participated by the business sector, local leaders, including DepEd officials, teachers, students from both private and government schools.
Lumad representatives and other local organizations and some barangay officials also attended.
