TWO suspects involved in illegal drugs were caught by authorities in Barangay Consolacion, this city at about 6:30 pm on Monday.
Police Insp. Sebastian Chua, Macabalan Police Station deputy commander, identified the suspects as Jonilo “Jojo” Pecasis, 35, and Fernando “Dods” Echem, 31, both residents of Block 8, Isla Cupa, Baran-gay Consolacion, this city.
Chua said the suspects were apprehended in a buy-bust operation on Monday.
He said the main target of their buy-bust operations was supposed to be only Pecasis but Echem was at the latter’s residence when the dragnet operation was conducted.
“Echem is Pecasis’ runner,” Chua said. Chua added Pecasis had voluntarily turned himself in on Saturday through Oplan Tokhang prior to the arrest.
Confiscated from Pecasis, Chua said, were P26,800 alleged drug money while Echem yielded the P200 marked money used in the buy-bust operation.
Illegal drugs and various drug paraphernalia were also seized from the two suspects.
Both suspects are currently detained at the Macabalan Police Station.
