GINGOOG City–Organized teachers here yesterday called on authorities to ensure that no stone would be left unturned in the investigation into the killing of a public school principal in the city.

Mario Endrina, Gingoog schools supervisor, said 54-year old Roberto Salazar was shot in July 9 just 50 meters from the police outpost in Agora, this city. The attack was carried out by two still unidentified men on a motorcycle

Salazar died four days later in a Cagayan de Oro hospital. Edrina said the victim succumbed to hemorrhage, and because of a fractured spinal cord that was hit by a bullet.

The victim, the principal of the Hindangon Elementary School, was laid to rest in this city yesterday.

Academics here demanded a speedy investigation into the shooting death so that the motive for the killing and suspects would be known.

SPO4 Teddy Macarayo said police were able to determine that the murder weapon was a 9mm pistol.

Macarayo said investigators find the murder case “complicated” but declined to elaborate, saying the information were “confidential.”
