Police Regional Office 10 declared major accomplishments in its drive against illegal drugs that killed at least 36 drug personalities in relation to “Operation Tokhang” in the entire region from July 1 up to Dec. 29, 2016.
Chief Insp. Mardy Hortillosa II, PRO 10 deputy spokesperson said the entire region has served at least 56 search warrants on areas where proliferation of illegal drugs have been suspected.
Hortillosa also said they were able to conduct 696 buy-bust operations and killed 36 drugs personalities. Of the 696 buy-bust operations, police in the entire region were able to arrest 1,408 drug personalities.
Records show that Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) is on top of the list with 625 arrested drug personalities; second by Iligan City Police Office (ICPO) with 206 arrested drug personalities; and third by Bukidnon Provincial Police Office (BPPO) with 153 arrests.
Ranked fourth is Misamis Oriental Provincial Police Office (MOPPO) with 131 arrests; fifth is Lanao del Norte Provincial Police Office (LDNPPO) with 84 arrest; sixth is Misamis Occidental Provincial Police Office (MOPPO) with 73 and Camiguin Provincial Police Office (CPPO) with only 10 arrests.
PRO 10 also recorded a huge number of drug personalities who availed the program of Operation Tokhang which already reached 82,168 drug personalities in northern Mindanao. Bukidnon listed on top with 24,827 persons; second is Misamis Oriental with 18,005 persons; third is Misamis Occidental with 15,521 persons; fourth is Lanao del Norte with 12,823; fifth Cagayan de Oro with 5,642 persons; sixth is Iligan City with 4,809 persons and last is Camiguin with 541 persons.
Hortillosa said the PRO 10 also recorded 2,486 sachets of suspected shabu and an additional of 414.61 grams and 486 sachets during the six months anti-drug operation in the entire region.
“The latest is the 20 kilograms of shabu confiscated in Bukidnon checkpoints in Impasug-ong,” he said.
Top on the list with confiscation areas is Bukidnon with 20 kilos and 224 sachets; second Cagayan de Oro 634 sachets, 414,61 grams plus 21 packs of shabu; third is Iligan City with 440 sachets and 1 pack; third is Misamis Occidental with 321 sachets; fourth is Misamis Oriental with 312; fifth is Lanao del Norte with 105 sachets and Camiguin with only 4 sachets.
Police also recorded confiscation of marijuana with 92 sachets, 9 small Teabags, 7 packs and one plastic bottle with dried leaves, 22 plants and 22 stalks, and 800 seedlings.
