THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a lawyer and four others during a raid at Tejero subdivision in Barangay Patag, this city, on Wednesday night.
A PDEA agent who uses the nom de guerre “Ben Kalibre” due to law enforcement reasons identified the suspects as lawyer Sonny Pabelic, Douglas Galam, Derick Du, Alex Tagarao and Richard Tejero.
Calibre said the PDEA’s target was Galam and the suspected drug den but found the group when they staged the raid at around 9 pm Wednesday.
He said the PDEA seized some 30 grams of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia and a P500-marked money.
Calibre said Tagarao tested negative for drug use. “Positive ang upat except ni Alex Tagarao, nga negative sa drug test.”
The PDEA is preparing to file charges for violation of the R.A. 9165 against the suspects who were brought the PDEA mini-cell.
