CITY Mayor Oscar Moreno distributed more than 50,000 PhilHealth member cards in a simple ceremony inside JR Borja General Hospital in Barangay Carmen last Friday.
Moreno in his message told local barangay officials, nutrition scholars, and health workers to distribute the Philhealth membership cards to all residents living below poverty line without looking into their political affiliations.
“Ipanghatag kana sa tanan nga gusto mo-avail niana tungod kay ang atong tinguha mao ang pagtabang sa mga nagkinahanglan. Ang atong programa karon dili na babag apan kaabag with the support of the city council members lead by Vice-Mayor Kikang Uy,” he said.
Moreno named those city councilors who graciously support his administration like City Councilors George Goking, Zaldy Ocon, Jacy Pascual, Rueben Daba, Annie Daba, Romeo Calizo and Edna Dahino in the first district.
He also mentioned city councilors in the second district who supports him like Suzette Magtajas-Daba, Maria Lourdes Gaane, Eric Salcedo, and Ian Mark Nacaya.
He stressed that Philheralth distribution is also geared for the construction of more hospitals in Barangay Tablon in the eastern back side while also in Barangay Lumbia in the hinterland barangays in the city.
