Misamis Oriental extends its congratulations to the 40 surrenderees of the Oplan Double Barrel 2 Reloaded for finishing a 12-day course on community-based rehabilitation and treatment program of the local government unit of the Municipality of Villanueva last Friday.
Capitol’s Provincial Information Officer Nicole Managbanag said Governor Bambi Emano was happy for the Tokhang 2 responders in Villanueva, “as it is part of his advocacy to rehab and treat the victims of illegal drugs and not simply kill them.”
“Governor Bambi was actually very glad for them because these people deserve chance to live again as normal citizens of our province,” Managbanag said.
The governor also congratulated the local government unit of Villanueva for sponsoring a program for the recovery of the victims of the proliferation of illegal drugs, the Philippine National Police for its constant campaign against this drug menace and the Philippine Drug Enforcement for supporting the program.
The rehab and treatment include family therapy, counseling and group getaway at a recreation site in Alibuag in Sugbongcogon town in Misamis Oriental. (pio misor)
