In a statement, Ka Dencio Madrigal,VPROC spokesman, said elements of the Mt. Alip Sub-Regional Operations Command of the Far South Mindanao Region seized one M-14 rifle, M-16 rifle, assorted ammunition, vest, and other war materiel during the raid that ensued at about 11:40 pm last Sunday.

He claimed to have successfully burned a portion of the camp.

“We express our utmost revolutionary homage and comradely adulation for the three Red fighters martyred as they courageously fought and perished during the gunbattle,” Madrigal said.

Madrigal said the action is a decisive riposte against the US-Duterte regime’s impudent terrorism and perfidious imposition of martial law n Mindanao.

“The NPA is ever ready to wage war against terrorist suppression in order to protect the rights and welfare of the oppressed and exploited eople. The raid also serves as a punitive action against the mercenary 39th IB and its Cafgu minions for their numerous atrocities towards the civilians,” he said.

Madrigal accused troopers of the 39th Infantry Battalion of killing activists and lumads in North Cotabato including the incessant harassment of innocent civilians.
