Cocpo spokesperson Supt. Mardy Hortillosa, II said any information posted on the Internet or any social media should be based on facts and its basis must come official sources.

Hortillosa said Cocpo Acting-City Police Director Sr. Supt. Nelson Aganon appealed to Internet users not to post on facebook or any social media account anything that present Cagayan de Oro as a dangerous place.

He also said Cocpo is now appealing to the local residents or visitors to immediately report to any local police station any crime incident that took place so they could respond immediately.

Base on Cocpo record crime against persons dove from 304 crimes incidents on 2017 compared to only 236 crime incidents on the same period in 2018 from the month of January to June.
