PDEA regional director Wilkins Villanueva identified the suspects arrested in the first raid as Ruel Daguplo, 46; Warley Umaran, 22; Remie Herodias, 22; and Isagani Herodias, 24.

Villanueva said those arrested in the second raid were Kenneth Sazon, 26; Jerry Dioso, 35; Rean Joy Lazarte, 37; Michael Linggo, 29; Bienvinido Detalla, 44.

All are from Zone 3, San Lazaro in Lapasan.

Villanueva said the raids were carried out by PDEA agents with the help of the Macabalan and Agora police stations.

The first raid was staged at around 6:50 pm at the Daguplo  compound in San Lazaro.

Villanueva said the first raid resulted in the seizure of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P102 thousand.

He said the suspects also yielded all sorts of drug paraphernalia.

At around 8:30 pm, authorities carried out another raid in the same barangay, resulting in the arrest of six more suspects.

He said law enforcers confiscated 26 grams of suspected shabu worth about P136 thousand and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Villanueva said the suspects were detained and charges are being prepared against them at presstime.

The raids, he said, were based on search warrants issued by the 18th branch of the Regional Trial Court here.

Ben Calibre, the nom de guerre of a PDEA agent, said one suspect, identified as Jeffrey dela Concepcion a.k.a. Jeffrox, evaded arrest and is at large at presstime.

He said at least 14 people were brought to the PDEA headquarters as a result of the two raids.

Calibre said some of the suspects would be charged for being in the suspected drug dens, and they would be subjected to drug tests.

Calibre alleged that Daguplo, one of the arrested suspects, was behind the “drug den.”

He said Daguplo and dela Concepcion are in PDEA’s watch list.
