THE City Council during its regular session last week presided over by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy adopted a resolution declaring portions of Barangay Kauswagan as calamity areas.
This is in view of the disaster report submitted by the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWD) regarding the fire that hit NHA Phase 2 and Zone 3, and strong winds that affected some families at Zone 5, Lago Compound, NHA.
According to the Barangay Council of Kauswagan, the calamities damaged properties amounting to P5.1 million. (sp)
