Through these digital communities, clients living in the outskirts will not be left behind in accessing affordable financial products and services. These digital communities are provided with free Wi-Fi access for all konek2CARD users.

“CARD Bank provides support to these communities in giving the easiest and fastest banking experience to our clients through our digitization initiatives,” said Marivic Austria, President, and CEO of the Bank.

She also added that with these digital communities, more CARD Bank clients have the opportunity to download and register the konek2CARD app. This will also give income opportunity not only for konek2CARD Agents but also for members with Sari-sari stores because members transacting can be their sure clients as well. Agents generate income from cash-out, agent-assisted payments, bills payment, and e-load.

After the pilot test, CARD will expand its konek2CARD digital communities in other Barangays with the same profile as Barangay Santisimo (with more than 15 Centers in the Barangay).

To date, CARD Bank already has more than 183,000 konek2CARD users with more than 2,400 active konek2CARD agents nationwide. (PR)
