Cagayan de Oro – Marking the 27th anniversary of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, the Department of Agrarian Reform in Region 10 has scheduled some activities to celebrate the occasion.
On June 25-28, a Photo Exhibit and Product Showcase will be held at the Foyer, 3rd floor of Centrio Mall, this city which will highlight some projects, programs and events that have made an impact on the lives of the agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) and their communities.
The exhibit will also showcase a number of the products of the ARB coops, some of which have received citations from local and international accrediting organizations.
On June 29, the ARB Coop Summit will be held at the Atrium, Lim Ket Kai Mall, where 1,500 farmers from Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental and Misamis Oriental will gather for some important CARP updates and related matters.
In this venue, the products earlier showcased in the exhibit will then be available for sale to the general public.
DAR-10 Regional Director Faisar A. Mambuay has invited the heads of government line agencies, religious sector, non-government organizations and civil society to join in the 5-day celebration. “This is one way of acknowledging their support in the implementation of the CARP in Region 10,” Mambuay stressed.
Gov. Mohamad Khalid Q. Dimaporo who is also the Chair of the Regional Development Council for Northern Mindanao will be the Guest Speaker during the opening ceremony of the photo exhibit at Centrio.
His Eminence Archbishop Antonio J. Ledesma, SJ of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro and Mayor Oscar S. Moreno are among the guests who will grace the ARB Coop Summit at Lim Ket Kai Center. (Editha R. Salvador)
