Regine is a 28 year old Makeup Artist from this city and in Manila for seven years she was associated in the largest Makeup Company in Dubai, UAE. Regine’s a type of person who is very accommodating and always wears a friendly smile.
She first started doing make-up in her college days during special events in school. She would help her Dance Troupe in putting their makeup until such time she realized she had a knack for putting on makeup on others, so Regine decided to learn more and look for an institute that can teach her the techniques.
“At first before ko mag makeup artist, ga help na ko ug make up sa akong mga kauban sa dance troupe during college days. Until murag nakita nako na ganahan ko mag make up, maong naabot sa time na nag tuon ko. Nag decide nadayun ko na mangita ug school na makakat-on kog technique sa pag make up mao tung nag enroll ko sa Fashion Institute of the Philippines, so nag study ko ug make up and akong mentor kay si Inyaki Yuson. Sa Dubai I worked with big time people like princesses. Pag uli nako dri sa CDO, I am able to work with Christian brides as well as mga Maranao brides.” Regine said.
Regine’s inspiration in her everyday work is her parents. She stands as a breadwinner of her family. Luckily, they are always there for her to support her passion.
“As a breadwinner I have to do anything just to make sure I could give all what they want, ang gusto nako happy sila and ma make sure pud nako na makatabang gyud ko. Gusto nako makita nila na para ni sa ilaha tanan nakong gipaningkamutan.”
Aside from them, her husband is also her inspiration. He supports Regine’s passion since the beginning. The way he gives his all out support, is her reason to work harder.
“He is my inspiration and my strength. Naabot ko ani na industry because of him. He supports all I want, katung time na wala pakoy connections, he is always there para hatagan kog strength na padayunon akong hilig. He bought makeup, like unsa needed as makeup artist kay grabi jud kamahal ang makeup. I saw his effort, then and now that’s why I am truly grateful. In every endeavor that i venture into, especially when it’s related to my passion, muingon lang sya nga kung asa ko happy, suportahan ko niya.” She added.
After learning some technique she works together with the other photographers to enhance her passion and to experience collaborating with the sought-after photographers in Cagayan de Oro City. Her first team was Bo Daclan during their fun shoots. Regine is very passionate about what she’s doing, and loves to spread her love for makeup and cosmetics to all of her clients. All of Regine’s work is based on the art of making you look stunning and beautiful especially on your wedding day.
“Makeup is for me is truly an art form, and it took me years of practice before I decided to start my own business. All of my work is based on the art of making you look radiant.”She said.
She have a keen eye for the perfect color and look while having her own techniques to emphasize your skin tone and create a flawless look in both photos and in person and will guarantee that your make up will look amazing and last throughout the day. Regine provides traditional and Temptu Airbrush Makeup to her clients.
“Aside from brides, debutantes also come to me to glamorize and transition them from a girl to a gorgeous lady. I also help doll up other women who just want to celebrate their beauty, age and motherhood through birthday and maternity shoots.” She added.
