For failure to convince his live-in partner to marry him, a 21-year-old depressed person decided to end his life by committing a suicide.
The victim was identified as Alden Mondelo, residing at Adela subdivision, Camaman-an, this city.
He used to to work in one of the appliance centers in the city as a delivery boy.
His body was discovered by his sister at around 10 am Sunday. It was believed to be suicide early in the morning.
Arnel Mondelo, the victim’s uncle said, the victim became depressed when his live-in partner refused his offer to marry him.
He said the girl, instead left the house which could be the reason of the victim’s depression.
It was the neighbors in the area who summoned the victims companions in the house after they saw a body through an open window hanging inside a room.
As commonly happened to other suicide victims, authorities did not notice a letter supposedly left where the body is lying.
However, they have yet to check the mobile phone of the victim to see wether there were exchanges of text messages between him and the girl.
