Lanao del Sur 1st District Regional Legislative Assemblyman Rolan Abdul Rashid Macarambon expressed his concern on the alleged system in an interview over the weekend.

Macarambon said Armm is considered as one of the regions lagging behind in terms of delivery of quality education because of some, if not many of their public school officials, give more weight to teacher-applicants highly recommended by influential people and public officials than those who are most qualified, proficient, and efficient applicants.

Worse, monetary favors are involved, he claimed.

Macarambon said he will probe the alarming issue deeper after talks and complaints reached his office.

Such concerns must be investigated  as it is detrimental to the education system, he added.

Macarambon admitted that without the support of his colleagues the problem will continue up to the next administration.

Macarambon said with the aid of legislation and thorough investigation he aims to wipe out the wrong practice, specifically in his province and other areas in Armm who have experienced the same problem.

To strenghten further his campaign for reforms in Armm under the leadership of second termer Regional Governor Mujiv Hataman, Macarambon posted the challenge to DepEd-Armm Regional Secretary and high ranking DepEd officials from the different Provincial and City Schools Division Offices  to support his call and to seriously address this injustice in the DepEd-Armm workforce.
