MAYOR Oscar Moreno yesterday opened the Kahimunan Regional Trade Fair 2018 at SM-Uptown. He was joined by Trade assistant secretary for regional operations Demphna Du-Naga.
The trade fair, which is one of the activities ahead of the city’s Aug. 28 fiesta, was opened a day after the DTI named Cagayan de Oro as the 5th most competitive highly urbanized city in the country today.
At least 34 exhibitors are participating in the trade fair that would be until Aug. 29.
On exhibit are the region’s process food, furnitures, and homestyle models, among others.
Du-Naga said the trade fair’s aim is to help promote products from northern Mindanao as well as complement the region’s tourism industry.
