CAGAYAN de Oro and Misamis Oriental both failed in the latest government performance test of the Department of Interior and Local Government.
This as Interior Secretary Eduardo Año released the list of local government awardees of the Seal of Good Local Government Award Wednesday.
According to Año, only 23 local governments in Northern Mindanao are recipients of the Seal of Good Local Governance, and Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental are not included.
However, the province of Bukidnon and component cities Valencia in Bukidnon and El Salvador in Misamis Oriental are among the 23 awardees in Region 10.
Año said the other local governments in Northern Mindanao that bagged the annual award for governance are Impasug-ong, Kadingilan, Pangantucan, Quezon, and San Fernando of Bukidnon; Sagay of Camiguin; Bacolod, Baloi, Baroy, Kapatagan, Kauswagan, Sapad, Sultan Naga Dipamoro, Tangcal, and Tubod in Lanao del Norte; Plaridel in Misamis Occidental; Lugait, Medina, Salay, and Villanueva in Misamis Oriental.
