ADMINISTRATION vice presidential candidate Rep. Leni Robredo has given Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. a run for his money in northern Mindanao, show partial and unofficial election results in the region.

As of 10:50 am yesterday, Robredo was ahead with 671,131 votes in Region 10, leaving behind the son of the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos Sr. by 249, 827 votes.

The running mate of Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano was also ahead of Marcos by 11,337 votes.

Data from the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) show that  Cayetano was getting more votes than Marcos. Cayetano received 432,641 votes while Marcos had 421,304 based of the 10:50 am count in Region 10.

As of 3:30 pm yesterday, the results of the partial and unofficial nationwide count show Robredo and Marcos in a neck and neck race for the second highest position in the government. Robredo was leading with 13,563,031 votes against Marcos’s 13,362,962.

The camp of Marcos has accused the administration Liberal Party (LP) of cheating, an allegation Robredo denied during a news conference yesterday.
