VALENCIA City– The city government has culminated the nutrition month celebration with beauty and elegance as it held the search for Nutrition Queen 2015 in the city.
It was learned thirty lovely candidates joined the search that made the activity worth to be witnessed by the local folks.
The activity was conducted by the city Nutrition Committee and supported by the city government last July 31, 2015 at the city gymnasium.
The program started with a grand entrance of MayorAzucena P. Huervas and escorted by newly installed Valencia City police OIC P/Supt. Al Martinez Abanales. It was followed by the City Nutrition Action Officer Ms. Hazel P. Dondonayos together with the staff of the City Nutrition Office and the members of the City Nutrition Committee and the 30 lovely candidates vying for the Queen of Nutrition 2015 crown.
For this year, the winners are as follows: Ms. Refreshing Look – LumboMs. Friendship – LumbayaoMs. Flawless – LumboMs. Shiny Hair – LGU Ms. Photogenic – Lumbo Best in Gown – LGU 4th runner-up – Lumbayao 3rd runner-up – Pinatilan 2nd runner-up – Bagontaas 1st runner-up – Poblacion Queen of Nutrition – Lumbo.
In her message, Mayor Huervas who also chaired the City Nutrition Committee emphasized that the success of the Nutrition Month Celebration. She even congratulated the City Nutrition Office, City Nutrition Committee and the Barangay Officials and functionaries of the 31 barangays in the city who have participated in the month-long celebration.
Moreover, she encouraged to continue promote proper nutrition and breastfeeding in order to maintain the legacy that Valencia is a winner in nutrition. Last Aug 4, 2015. Valencia City bagged major awards during the 41st PYAP Anniversary in Lanaodel Norte.
