TACURONG City– Police here in the city are still facing blank wall on the identity and motive of suspect in killing a former barangay councilman that transpired around 8:00 o’çlock in the evening last June 4, 2015.
Police identified the victim as certain Aratuk Tapa, 42 years old, married, a former barangay council member of Barangay Pandag, Maguindanao and said to be presently residing at Sultan sa Barongis Maguindanao.
The victim was on a drinking spree with his unidentified companions that scampered after the incident in one of the videoke bars in the city.
The victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds from a suspected caliber .45 pistol on his chest was pronounced dead on arrival by his attending physician in one of the private hospitals in the city.
Police Inspector Roel Vallena Abejero, Chief of Intelligence PNP-Tacurong claimed that the victim was one of the suspects of hanging a cadaver they discovered in a septic tank some months ago in Purok San Jose, Barangay SanPablo, Tacurong City and said to had been in hiding since the commission of said crime.
On the other end hand, relatives and family of the victim refused to submit the remains of Tapa to undergo autopsy on reasons that they will be lying the remains of the victim based on their belief and culture of “Islam.” (Rose Muneza and Cris Jay Diaz)
