Former Talisayan vice mayor dies

TALISAYAN, Misamis Oriental — Former vice mayor Carlito Rayon died at the age of 55 yesterday morning. He succumbed to a kidney failure according to Mayor Rommel Maslog

Maslog said Rayon was brought to the Talisayan Misamis Oriental Provincial Hospital when he complained about not feeling well on Wednesday evening.

A few minutes after, Rayon was transported to Northern Mindanao Medical Center in Cagayan de Oro City, Maslog added

Maslog said Rayon served as municipal councilor for three terms from 1988 to 2013.

Rayon won as town vice mayor and served from 2013 to 2016. He lost to incumbent Vice Mayor Josefina Omondang which would have been his second term in the May 2016 Elections.

Rayon filed his Certificate of Candidacy for municipal councilor together with Mayor Maslog and Vice Mayor Omondang and other Padayon Pilipino bets in this town on Oct. 15 at the Municipal Comelec office here.

He was born on Jan. 14, 1963 in Talisayan this province.
