Cagayan de Oro City is host to many bridal and wedding affairs of fashion, food, and its miscellany. Before the year 2015 ends, a photography activity-cum-workshop commonly held abroad and already in Manila, will be introduced to the scene through the efforts of a budding set and prop styling suit. Lifecrafts and Pixie Dust, Prop & Set Styling Co.

On November 28, 2015, Lifecrafts and Pixie Dust, together with a selection of notable vendors in the event and bridal industry, will hold the very first Bridal Editorial Open shoot. Unlike other open shoots, this activity caters to amateur or professional photographers and photography enthusiasts. While other photography sessions only provide a model and a venue, Lifecrafts and Pixie Dust will go further into details. Complete main table set up with crystal and wine and set design by the styling company will be adorned with elaborate floral bouquets from Jazmin Events Planner by Bambi Bartolome-Fabian and wedding invitations personally calligraphed by April San Pedro of I am Artisan. Another meticulous table will be sweetened with a unique bridal cake from Mood Lifters by Chef Mae Gerong. Emphasizing the bridal affair are two models standing in as bride and groom, who will be styled by Kevin Abdala and dressed by designer Dio Deus. The talented hair and make up artists Regine Nailga, Lenlen Anaya, and Maricel Salise will complete this year’s bridal dream team. Silver Glam will provide for the set jewellery, effecting the fine niceties you will find in a realistic wedding day.

Noir et Marsala literally translates to “black and marsala”. Marsala, originally known as a wine from a city in Italy of the same name, was chosen as the color of the year for design and fashion. The marsala in design is inspired by the very color of the wine and has become the inspiration of the up and coming project by Lifecrafts and Pixie Dust. The duo of black and red arouses both passion and mystery, which is the very effect the stylists are hoping to bring out. It is a pleasant deviation from the typical white-veiled, dreamy traditional weddings, evocative of Hollywood romance.

The team is blessed to have partnered with the very venue that realizes the romance and drama in the event, Stargate Dream Vacation Resort. Early during the conception of the activity, Lifecrafts and Pixie Dust and its sister company Capturing Smiles Photography, presented the idea to Ms. Algen de Dios and her team, who welcomed the concept with open arms. Stargate Dream Vacation Resort is now a destination family resort, built in 2007 as a private family rest house. It expanded to what is now the eclectic marriage of time travel and tourist spots.

Capturing Smiles Photography’s Jessie Villegas will be present in the duration of the event to mentor the flow of photoshoot and throw in her knowledge of the affair, thanks to her first-hand experience in Bride and Breakfast’s Fashion, Bridal and Elopement Editorials held in Manila last year. This is the inspiration of the Noir et Marsala Bridal Editorial Open Shoot, which they do not only hope to be successful this year but to flourish for the years to come.
