Cagayan de Oro City Council during its regular session on Monday enacted an ordinance appropriating the amount of P17 million  from the continuing lumpsum allocation under Supplemental Budget No. 1 of the General Fund for CY 2016.

The said allocation will be utilized for the construction of Cogon Market Kiosk (P780,200.00), renovation of Cogon Market Administration Office (P2,299,000.00), Cogon Market Open Space at Ground Floor along Osmena St. (P530,000.00), Cogon Market Open Space at Ground Floor along Vicente Roa St. (P530,000.00), Cogon Market 2nd floor open space (P785,800.00), rehabilitation of drainage system along the perimeter of Cogon Public Market specifically at Osmeña, Yacapin and Capt. Vicente Roa Sts. and at the interior of said market (P8,600,000.00) and Canopy along perimeter of Cogon Public Market-Phase 1 (P3,475,000.00).

The legislation was previously reviewed and endorsed by the committees on economic enterprises, on finance, budget and appropriations and on laws and rules respectively chaired by Councilors Edna M. Dahino and Ian Mark Q. Nacaya. (SP)
