KABACAN, North Cotabato–Police authorities are now hunting down two men who massacred a family of three in a far- flung farming village here Sunday.

Police Supt. Bernard Tayong said residents of Barangay Aringay, Kabacan, NorthCotabato were awakened by a 5 a.m. “unusual event” happening inside the house of Roger Garcia, a farmer in the area.

Tayong said Arnel K. Wagia, the Aringgay village chair, has requested quick police assistance as something unusual happened  in the Garcia home.

When police authorities arrived in the village, a crime scene investigation was immediately conducted.

Police identified the victims as Roger Garcia, 47, MilchaNicanor Garcia, 49 and Danny Anne Garcia, 14, all residents of PurokPag-asa, Barangay Aringay.

According to Tayong, the suspects were already gone but they have some witnesses who provided them with vital information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the suspects.

Police scene of the crime operatives found empty shells for cal. 45 pistol inside the Garcia home with some valuables missing.

Tayong said investigators remained clueless on the real motive of the attack.

One possible angle police are looking into was robbery and that the murder was carried out by the suspects because they personally knew the attackers.

Tayong also urged the residents of Aringay who have information about the suspects to help police locate them. (PNA)
