VALENCIA City, Bukidnon — The City Government of Valencia has tightened its security and urged its residents to cooperate in the process of maintaining peace and order in the city following the declaration of martial law in Mindanao.

Valencia City Administrator Atty. Genaro C. Cadigal, Jr., is grateful for the support offered by the Muslim community as well as to other groups. He considered the move as a big step to urge everyone to participate in aiming peace and order in the city.

Cadigal added that the city government through the leadership of Mayor Azucena P. Huervas, together with Police Supt. Marcial Ley T. Fronteras of PNP Valencia and the Armed Forces of the Philippines will continue to provide safety measures and prevent the entry of all bad elements and terrorist group in the city.

The city government has already issued the Executive Order No. 22 s. 2017 that will intensify the implementation of checkpoints in every entrance and exit points of the city and inspection to different public areas and establishments.

Also included in the order is the implementation of curfew from 10 pm to 4 am to avoid any untoward incidents and promote safety for the residents here.

The city government urged the people of Valencia to continue to cooperate in the implementation of the said order and to always stay vigilant at all times. (karen d. joromo and aron a. rempohito)
