A couple of years ago we had a chance to meet this little boy name Gio. He was small, thin for his age, and his eyes were yellowish – even so he was a jolly child filled with potential and life.

During that time there was also a campaign where business establishments joined in to help by placing a Piggy Bank made out of empty cans that his parents collected and made. They were placed near counters of participating stores where people could simply drop their donations. A huge amount of money needed to be raised for his liver transplant that took place in Taiwan.

Unfortunately, Gio’s condition is fragile, and needs our help once more. His mother Ruby Ellis Peralta launched a campaign earlier this week called the “100 Peso Signature Campaign” on social media in the hopes that her child’s ordeal may be heard and their prayers be answered.

The 100 Peso Signature Campaign aims to raise the needed funds to free Gio from all hospital bills and obligations including Professional Fee of the 10 doctors who attended to him. As of the moment they have a P300 thousand running bill excluding doctors fee.

“We are on the 20th day in PICU and we wish to be release as soon as Gio is stronger enough. We have a close account in the pharmacy since day 8 and all expensive procedures and medications are paid in cash,” Ruby said.

“All signature donations will be acknowledged in your name or anonymous if you wish to be discreet. Please consider your single hundred (2USD) for 1 signature to be Gios early Christmas gift,” she added.

As of this writing Gio continues his fight and with your prayers and financial aid he would surely live on.
