Police Major Julius Clark Macariola, Agora police station commander, identified the suspects as John Clark Boiser, 20, residing at Purok 3-A, Gusa; and Martin Pedros, 23, of Sto. Niño, Barangay Lapasan, both of Cagayan de Oro City.

Taken from the possession of Boiser was Suzuki color red owned by Richard Lagulos, 39, a resident Sto. Niño, Lapasan.

Prior to the arrest, Lagulos said, he saw Boiser driving his unit.

Mao tong ako siyang gihawiran og ayo apan nakaikyas gyud siya. Misakay kog laing motor ug ako siyang gipangita,” Lagulos said.

He said, together with other companions they finally caught the suspect drinking in one of the stores at CM Recto.

Sensing that the owner of the motorcycle was coming, Boiser together with Pedros hurriedly left the area and the chase began.

Fortunately, Pedros’ driven motorcycle malfunctioned near a store along Gusa highway that resulted to his and Boiser’s arrest.

Both of the suspects had two girls as back rides. The girls were released by police after they were cleared, as the girls did not have any involvement to the commission of the crime.

At the police station in Agora, the suspects denied they stole the motorcycles. They said they bought it from a friend, whom they failed to identify.

Police were able to confiscate universal keys, which can be used for any type of motorcycle, from the suspects.

The suspects failed to explain to the authorities why they possessed such keys.

Macariola said he suspects the two were responsible for other stolen motorcycle in the city.

Macariola is calling on other possible victims of the suspect to visit their headquarters to check whether the motorcycle taken from Pedro is theirs.
