Authorities arrested three drug suspects in a buy-bust operation inside an inn here at 3 pm, Sunday.
Senior Insp. Dennis Quindara, Cogon police station chief, identified the suspects as Bryan Bagas, 33, a resident of Barangay Tipaghot, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental; Diego Girtos, Jr, 43 of District II, Barangay Consolacion, this city; and Jonalou Bughao, 33 of Kimaya, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental.
They were arrested while inside room 103 of Sante Inn located at Osmeña Street, Barangay 28, this city.
Taken from the suspects were six sachets believed to be shabu, P500 buy-bust money, and a hand grenade.
The operation was witnessed by Barangay Councilor Philip James Casares.
The raid was a joint operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Army’s Military Intelligence Group.
The suspects are now detained at Maharlika mini-cell awaiting filing of formal charges.
