A 50-year-old man has taken his own life by hanging himself in his room in Barangay Nazareth at around 8:30 am, Thursday.
However, his body was discovered only yesterday at 11 am.
Police Major Ericson Sabanal, Macasandig Police Station chief, identified the suicide as one Ralph Jonathan Ong, 50, a resident of Upper 20th St. Nazareth, this city.
Sabanal said there was no foul play in Ong’s death. Even the family of Ong, he added, decided not to have the body examined by authorities.
Relatives pointed to severe depression as the cause for the suicide.
