Gingoog City — Both Mayor Erick G. Cañosa and Vice Mayor Peter M. Unabia and the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod led the city in celebrating its 59th Charter Day Celebration which started late last week.

The following activities were search for Binibining Gingoog 2019 opened on the first day. According to Audie Ocampo, city tourism officer, it is the first time that the search for Binibining Gingoog was well participated.

Activities slated for the week-long celebration are 25th Kaliga Climb at Banta-awan Lake which opened on July 12 and ended on July 14; 7th Kaliga of Barangay 23 on July 13 to 14; foam party at “Pahayahay sa Pantalan” yesterday.

Other activities slated this week are: 1st Gingoog City Mural Painting contest at the Don Restituto Baol Central School on July 18, Fantasy Float Parade on July 19, 1st Gingoog Trail Run Challenge, Singampu Rituals and Grand Kaliga Street Dancing Parade and Tableau, Kaliga Drag Race, 1st Mayor Erick Cañosa and Vice Mayor Peter Unabia Open Motocross Competition in Cooperation with Rep. Christian Unabia, Kaliga Music Festival and The Voice of East Misamis Oriental Musicale will be on July 20.

On July 21, the activities would be GCEC FunRun, Race to Summit 25 Km Uphill MTB Roadbike Challenge and the Binibining Gingoog Night.

The Gingoog City Agro Fair is scheduled from July 21 to 24; Civic Military Parade and coronation night of the  Binibining Gingoog Tourism will be on July 22.

While on July 23, there will be the Pamukaw sa Kaliga; on July 27 will be the Mayor Erick Canosa Tennis Cup and on July 31 the Mass Blood Donation to be held at Rizal Park, this city.
