Chief Insp. Ariel Philip Pontillas, Agora police chief, said the complaint was filed against the suspect using the aliases “Jason Caramba” and “Jason Caram” before the City Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday.

Pontillas said pieces of substantial evidence were submitted against the suspect who was blamed by a witness as the person responsible for the death of an underaged teenager.

It was 19-year old self-confessed procurer April Jean Albit a.k.a. Laling who went to the police and volunteered information that she arranged a sex partner for the suspect who was a guest at the hotel. He allegedly paid her P2,000 and the victim Nena (not her real name), P3,000.

Albit has been charged with qualified human trafficking.

Police said they submitted evidence collected at the crime scene, CCTV footages, and statements made by Albit and hotel personnel and an autopsy report from the Scene of Crime Operatives (Soco).

Pontillas said police pressed murder charges because the autopsy results showed that Nena’s skull was cracked, her head was swollen, and she had contusions all over. These show premeditation, he said.

Pontillas said Soco medical officer Dr. Christian Caballes would testify that the victim died a violent death in the hands of the killer.

Meanwhile, Pontillas said a family surnamed Caramba has coordinated with the police. “Ilang gusto klarohon nga wala silay membro sa pamilya sama ni Jason. Matud pa nila nga gigamit lamang ang ilang apelyedo during the commission of the crime,” he said.
