It is finally here!

The Cagayan de Oro Hotel and Restaurant Association (COHARA) finally launched the 23rd edition of “Kumbira” last July 3 at the activity center of Ayala Centrio Mall this city with the theme “The Food Baskets of Brunei, Malaysia and Philippines (BIMP)”.

The annual culinary show and competition would take place on August 14 to 16 at the Atrium Limketkai Center, Lapasan, this city and would this city’s highlight events during its Higalaay Festival 2019 among others.

The said event aims to promote cuisines from other neighboring countries of the Philippines from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the flavors and regional recipes of Mindanao.

This year would be a bigger and bolder show as it would also showcase indigenous ingredients in local recipes; a venue to hone ones culinary skills and techniques; application of technology in developing local delicacy and cuisines; and promote skills certification to professionalize the hospitality industry.

The launching showcased some of Kumbira’s best, from fruit carving to table setting plus cooking demonstrations, latte art, and food sampling.
