Camp Alagar spokesman Lt. Col. Mardi Hortillosa identified the suspect as Manuel Dagooc, 37, single, and a resident of Igpit in Opol town.

In a press conference yesterday, Hortillosa said Dagooc has just been released from Lumbia City Jail after serving his sentence of drug-related charges.

The suspects faced inquest proceedings yesterday afternoon before the City Fiscal’s Office.

Hortillosa said they also arrested Dagooc’s companion, Jennifer Quilab, 35, and a resident of Julio Pacana St., Barangay 25, this city.

He said Dagooc is classified as a high-value target in their anti-illegal drugs operation.

Authorities were able to buy 0.3 grams of suspected shabu from Dagooc using P1,000 buy-bust money.

When authorities frisked Quilab, they were able to seize a 50-gram packet of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P300 thousand. Also seized from the suspects was one unit of Samsung cellphone which was used to conduct the negotiations of the buy-bust.

Hortillosa said Quilab’s cellphone holds text messages of the transaction of the buy-bust.

The conduct of the buy-bust operation, he said, was witnessed by several barangay officials of Bulua and some representatives from the Department of Justice.

For his part, Dagooc said the drugs taken from them were only left behind inside their hideout in Zone 4, Bulua from a person they did not know.
