RELIEF AID. Chinese Consul General Li Lin turns over relief goods in Surigao city on December 28. Both the Chinese and with the representatives of local overseas Chinese have extended relief assistance to Surigao del Norte in the aftermath of Typhoon Odette, to express sincere sympathy and encouraged them to rebuild their damaged houses at the early date. He also visited the local Chinese community and brought food boxes and calendars to extend the Consulate General’s warm wishes for the upcoming new year. Consul General Li thanked the local overseas Chinese for their playing an active role in the promotion of China-Philippines friendship and practical cooperation with local governments. Ben joined Gold star daily in 1997 as a city reporter. After 3-months, he was appointed by Gold Star Daily's publisher Ernesto G. Chu, to be the paper’s editorial cartoonist. Ben was a newspaperman and an editorial cartoonist of Gold Star Daily for more than ten years. He was also commissioned as the Executive Editor of the Quarterly Newsletter of the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO-10) from 2002 to 2007.
