CAGAYAN de Oro City Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy welcomed Barangay 17 Chair Anthony Atterviry III to his office on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

They talked about how Barangay 17 is doing and what they can do to make it better.

“Mayor Klarex Uy’s office is more than just a room. It’s also where he makes important decisions,” said Mayor Uy’s spokesperson, BenCyrus Ellorin, adding that the meeting was good because the two leaders talked a lot about working together.

Atterviry said he really supports Mayor Uy and wants to work with him to help the people in their area.

Ellorin said it’s important for them to work together to make things better for everyone.

Recently, Brgy. Chairman Atterviry tried to become the head of the local leaders’ group and got support from a political party called PaDayon Pilipino.

Ellorin said that Atterviry is known for caring about the community and being active in politics, which makes people trust him.

Mayor Uy thanked Atterviry for wanting to work together to help Barangay 17. 

He also praised Atterviry for trying to speak for local leaders in bigger meetings.

“Both Mayor Uy and Atterviry want to do good things for the people they serve,” said Ellorin, adding that they believe that by working together, they can make Barangay 17 a better place to live.
