Goking who ran under the National Unity Party (NUP) got 53,232 votes, said his victory is dedicated to all Cagay-anons especially his supporters in far-flung barangays.

Goking especially mentioned Barangays Besigan, Tumpagon, pigsag-an, Tuburan, and Pagalungan.

Like in Barangays Carmen and Iponan, Goking was consistently in 5th place in the said rural barangays.

“With one of my (advocacy), to establish an ‘Action Team Office,’ soon these barangays are the first beneficiaries,” said Goking hoping for a better life and a secure future for their families and children.

“To the business sectors in the city, particularly to Filipino – Chinese and Oro Chamber of Commerce, daghang salamat sa pagsalig kanako,” he said.

Goking, also known as the ‘city’s father of economy,’ is the present chairman of two City Council’s committees on Trade and Commerce and on Ways and Means and is now on his third term.

“To Senator Miguel ‘Migz’ Zubiri and all the Kauban Ta Uy team led by mayor-elect Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy, daghang salamat sa inyong suporta,” he said.

Goking said they may expect him to work harder and pursue legislative proposals that will address the most pressing problems in the city.

“I hope to give them more than their vote’s worth,” he said.

Goking said all he needs is the passion and perseverance to serve and provide programs that are pro-people.

“Elections should not just be an opportunity for us to gain a fresh mandate, but also a chance for us to renew the people’s trust in our vision to improve their lives,” Goking opined.
