In his statement Tuesday, Rodriguez thanked his constituents for all the trust and support they have shown him and describes this is the “driving force” behind his work as a congressman.

Rodriguez, who was elected as Chairman of the House Committee on Constitutional Amendments, highlighted his accomplishments in legislation, infrastructure, social services, and personal advocacies in the report.

In the first three months of the 19th Congress, Rodriguez has filed 176 bills and resolutions. This puts the Kagay-anon congressman in the list of ‘most productive’ representatives with most number of bills and resolutions filed.

Rodriguez also boasts of a perfect attendance in his first 100 days, recording no absences in all sessions in Congress.

The 100 days report likewise presented the total amount of increases he requested for different government agencies during the Congress budget hearings last September amounting to P256.6 Billion.

It can be remembered that Rodriguez adamantly demanded to restore slashed budgets of departments, including the P80.5 billion cut from the Department of Education’s 2023 budget.

He also reported holding a series of groundbreaking activities for major infrastructure projects in the 2nd District of Cagayan de Oro worth P1.8 Billion, such as the By-Pass and Diversion Road and the Eastern Interior Bypass Road in Brgy. Gusa, among others.

Working in close coordination with regional offices, Rodriguez reports opening of 280 scholarship slots under TESDA for residents in CdeO from July to October.

Moreover, on the first week of October, more than 200 individuals were accepted into DOLE’s Government Internship Program (GIP) through his efforts.

He likewise stated in his 100 days report the 1,200 beneficiaries assisted through his Congressional funds in the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and DSWD, as well as 600 families receiving food packs distributed to calamity victims and various organizations around the city.

Known for his personal advocacies, Rodriguez reported giving more than P180,000 in solicitations covering medical, housing, burial assistance, competition, and event sponsorships. He also gave books authored by him to different barangays in the city.

As a lawyer and former law dean, he has also extended his support to the 123 law students by distributing a total of P369,000 cash assistance to 2022 bar takers from Liceo de Cagayan University and Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan.

Rodriguez is currently on his fifth term as representative of Cagayan de Oro 2nd District, after serving in the 14th (2007-2010), 15th (2010-2013), 16th (2013-2016), and as a deputy speaker in the 18th Congress (2019-2022).
