Samal Island singer-songwriter Sam Corrazza is set to captivate audiences with the release of his debut single under the folk-rock music project Laravv [lá.raw.]. Titled “Sa Aking Puso’y Palagi Ka,” the indie folk song was released on February 10, 2024 and made available on all major streaming platforms on the same day.

The track marks Corrazza’s official return to writing and performing his own music after putting off several comeback plans due to his commitment to law school in the last five years.

Written two years prior and originally titled “Ikaw Sa Takipsilim,” “Sa Aking Puso’y Palagi Ka” was intended by Corrazza to be an entry to the Mindanao Popular Music Festival (MinPop), in which it did not find success. The touching and evocative piece has not gone to waste as the artist has decided to release it independently as a significant part of the Laravv project.

“It captures the perspective of enduring love long after a beloved has drifted away,” says Corrazza of the track. Each verse is a carefully crafted expression, allowing audiences to choose and cherish their favorite lyrics that are both sweet and sentimental. The rather vibrant yet nostalgic indie folk-infused instrumentation further provides the perfect backdrop for Corrazza’s storytelling, with the time signature changing on significant parts, complementing the theme.
