THE Regional Educational Leaders and Assistant Regional Director Federico Martin expressed their gratitude to Northern Mindanao Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Director Art Bayocot for delivering an inspiring message to the team recently. 

Director Bayocot even emphasized the crucial role of the heart in leadership, highlighting that it surpasses experience, knowledge, and skills alone according to Martin.

He underscored the significance of nurturing the hearts of colleagues to effectively and successfully carry out the mission and mandates of the DepEd, said Martin.

Director Bayocot, an experienced leader within DepEd, shared his belief that the key factor in leading people lies in the heart.

He stressed that while experience, knowledge, and skills are essential, it is the heart that truly drives effective leadership. 

By fostering a culture that values empathy, compassion, and understanding, Director Bayocot aims to create a supportive environment where colleagues can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the organization’s goals.

With a focus on the human aspect of leadership, Director Bayocot’s message resonated with his team, inspiring them to approach their roles with a renewed sense of purpose and dedication.

The author and the Assistant Regional Director Martin belong to the heart-focused Hatch Masigasig within the Royal Knights Eagles Club, under Bagwis Dos, NMR 12, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Philippine Eagles.
