According to footage circulating online, the young girl was riding in the back of a motor vehicle driven by her father, making their way home when tragedy struck. Negotiating the narrow road outside the school, they encountered a massive ten-wheeler dump truck, a sight not uncommon despite previous bans restricting such vehicles from traversing the area during specific hours.

The road’s limited width proved fatal as the child tumbled from the vehicle, meeting a tragic fate under the wheels of the truck.

As the distressing video spread like wildfire online, the victim’s mother made a heartfelt plea for its removal, prompting many netizens to comply.

At present, the identity of the truck and the victim’s parents remains undisclosed. However, it was later revealed that the young girl was Pauline Nunez, residing in Abigail Homes within the city.

In response to the devastating loss, Jules Verne Padilla, Chief of Staff to Mayor Frederick W. Siao, assured reporters of the city’s commitment to support the grieving family. Padilla emphasized the city’s solidarity in mourning the tragic incident and pledged proactive measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
