2015 InfoCar launches in Lanao del Norte – With the theme: “Tukmang Impormasyon: Kaabag mo sa Kalamboan sa Agrikultura taliwala sa Pagbag-o bag-o sa Klima”, the Department of Agriculture through the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (RAFIS) in collaboration with its attached bureaus and agencies launched this year’s Information Caravan also known as Pakigkukabildo sa mga Mag-uuma 2015 in the province of Lanao del Norte. The InfoCar aims to convey agri-fishery related information to the farmers and fisherfolks at the grassroots level that are seen to boost the development of the sector. With this, the farmers and fisherfolks are informed on the requisites in order for them to take advantage of the programs, projects and services of the DA and its attached bureaus and agencies. The two-day activity which was held at the province’s capital town, Tubod on May 19-20, 2015 was attended by around 300 farmers and fisherfolks, agricultural extension workers and municipal agriculturists from all over the province. The next leg of InfoCar will be conducted in Camiguin on May 27, 2015; Misamis Oriental on June 3-4, 2015 and Bukidnon on June 10-11, 2015.# (VANESSA MAE S. SIANO, DA-RAFIS 10)
