CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Supporting the construction of another big mall in Cagayan de Oro, the City Council during its regular session Monday presided over by Vice Mayor Caesar Ian E. Acenas adopted Resolution No. 12102-2015, interposing no objection to the application of SM Prime Holdings for cancellation and conversion of road lots to commercial lots.
This involves the lot covered by TCT No. T-15576; T-15325 and T-15326 containing 587 sq. meters, 720 sq. meters and 1,022 sq. meters, respectively.
Councilor Alexander Dacer, chair of the committee on subdivision and landed estate, said the resolution of the City Council is needed before the conversion can be done.
In his letter to Vice Mayor Acenas, Engr. Isidro Borja said the concerned road lot is not being utilized as a city road or an access by the general public and is not part of the future road development plan of the city. He recommended for the approval of the resolution for the purpose.
Councilor Ramon Tabor, chair of the committee on laws and rules, said SM Prime Holdings will be constructing one of its biggest shopping malls in the area.
It will also mean financial benefits to the city, he cited. (sp)
