THE J.R. Borja General Hospital (JRBGH) is now the leading city hospital in Region 10 in terms of PhilHealth benefits payments received.

This is according to records from PhilHealth for the period of January to May of 2015

According to J.R. Borja General Hospital, PhilHealth has paid a total of P48.6 million for medical/surgical cases performed at the said hospital for PhilHealth members.

It is projected that the hospital will breach the P100 million mark in PhilHealth benefit payments for 2015.

J.R. Borja General Hospital is now ranked as the 13th and is among the best performing health care providers in PhilHealth benefit payment. The said hospital has also consistently increased its PhilHealth generated-income, earning P18.2 million in 2013 and P57.5 million in 2014.

Likewise, there is a corresponding improvement in implementation of PhilHealth’s “Maternity Care” Package in the City; from only 8 city health facilities accredited to deliver the M.C.P. as of 2013 and continues to grow as result a there are now forty (40) facilities that are MCP accredited and has generated a total of P5.5 million in MCP benefit payments as of May 2015.

Datu Masiding M. Alonto, Jr. Regional Vice-President, PRO-X and current AVP, Mindanao has lauded Cagayan de Oro mayor Hon. Oscar Moreno and his office for their aggressive pursuit of universal health care.

He also added that PhilHealth will never grow tired of lending its support to good governance and will continue its strong partnership in providing the people of Cagayan de Oro City with financial risk protection via PhilHealth coverage.
