I HATE to use the term “Imperial Manila” although one time in the past, I did use it to describe my dismay over how the national government treats Mindanaoans.

Today, I am again tempted to use it because of the announcement that the Lumbia airport would be used by the US military under the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (Edca).

Like what I said in the past, the US did nothing when China started building in the South China Seas and making them her airfields and military installations. If the US is really a Philippine ally, it could have done something to stop China by nipping it in the bud.

US allowed China to bully us, and her Asian neighbors so that we would be begging Washington for help. And help we sought but at a huge price. How many, five? Wow, the US just hit a jackpot.

The question now is, were we consulted? We would be directly affected, and become a magnet and an easy target. Don’t our lives matter to Manila–I mean Imperial Manila?

This will stir a hornet’s nest. The militant groups in the city are not going to take this sitting down. The US has successfully brought her war beyond her shores again… to us!

“Feudal lords.” This could aptly describe the Romualdos of Camiguin for the things they allegedly did to supporters of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, and to Duterte himself.

If Camiguin Island is no longer part of the Philippines, then the Romualdos must be the kings and princes there, and the people are their subjects. But it is not. The Romualdos just showed us what great power can do to a man’s mind.

The issuance of their rally permit didn’t come out nearing the deadline. We felt something was afoot. Dirty tricks! But that would not be enough. Threatening people with this and that took the cake.

The man I met during a public consultation two years ago was not the man who just gained notoriety today. It was Duterte’s and the people of Camiguin’s gain and the Romualdos’ and the LP’s loss.

Camiguin was ruled by families in the past. And like them, the Romualdos will also come to pass but with tainted records. Some people never learn from history!

Many are questioning the rationale of the road construction project near Liceo de Cagayan University. Why, when there are other places that need immediate repair, and not this? I didn’t see anything wrong with the road. Is this repair or merely fundaising?

People are mad when they are unnecessarily inconvenienced. I hope they will work on it it fast enough to appease angry people.

Some motorists are bad examples and the next stupid car drivers just follow. I saw this expensive car being driven through a red light, and the other cars behind followed as if it was the right thing to do. Ugh!

We have never serious enough in going after these traffic violators.
