Fifty youth leaders from Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro and Iligan Cities participate in the 2016 Environmental Summer Camp held at the Mapawa Nature Park in Brgy Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City. Sponsored by energy-firm STEAG State Power Inc. (SPI) and facilitated by the DENR Environmental Management Bureau, the two-day activity aims to inspire young leaders to be actively engaged in forest development and protection efforts. The summer camp coincides with the commemoration of April 2016 as Earth Month. Mapawa is the site of an on-going 1,200 hectares Carbon Sink Project funded by STEAG State Power Inc. (ADVT)
