MISAMIS Oriental Gov. Yevgeny Vicente Emano yesterday lauded authorities manning checkpoints in the province for what he described as their courtesy to incoming and outgoing motorists even as he reassured the Camp Alagar of the capitol’s full support in the government’s campaign against lawless groups with plans to sabotage the peace and order situation in Mindanao.

Emano also reiterated his appeal for the public to be cooperate with authorities that have put in place martial law security measures in Mindanao.

He also called on the police and military to sustain what he called as a strong coordination with the provincial government.

“As governor, we will help you in whatever way possible. It will be a partnership between the PNP-10 and the provincial government,” he told police officers at Camp Alagar at the start of the 22nd Police Community Relations Month celebration.

Emano said that while “not everyone likes the implementation of martial law” declared by President Duterte in May 23, he was thankful for the declaration “as it made us (sic) easier to implement the laws of the land.” (misor-pio)
