VILLAGERS yesterday fished out the body of a call center agent who drowned at the Bigaan river in Gusa on Sunday.
Gusa barangay chairman Marlou Tabac identified the call center agent as 24-year old Medel Baslote of Sitio Buntong, Camaman-an, this city.
Tabac said the body was found floating near the river bank at around 6 am yesterday.
He said Baslote went to the river to take a swim with a group of six at around 4 pm Sunday. Her friends were also call center agents.
Tabac said the group was about to leave when Baslote was swept by a strong current at around 6 pm.
He said the accident happened when the group attempted to cross the river.
Baslote then went missing until her body was found yesterday morning.
“Gisangit sa mga sagbot daplin sa suba,” Tabac said.
