The proposed creation of 48 plantilla positions for the J.R.Borja General Hospital (JRBGH) is now under review by the City Council committee on health and sanitation and health insurance.

Councilor Lourdes Gaane, chair of the committee, explained that the members of the committee need enough time to study the proposal.

According to Amy Milvar of JRBGH, the hospital is already preparing a new organizational chart to qualify for the 200-bed capacity and Level 2 category.

She said the proposed positions were originally 99 positions but the list was reduced after it was presented to the Local Finance Committee.

During the meeting, councilor Gaane reiterated that the committee is not against the proposal.

She said the committee is aware that the hospital needs to upgrade especially its manpower, infrastructure, equipment, medical supplies and medicines.

“It is not disapproving the proposal gi-defer lang kay tungod sa kadaghan sa plantilla positions nga gipropose,” she stressed. (sp)
