The Department of Social and Welfare Development assured continuous assistance for the returning residents of Marawi City and to those who are still in evacuation centers and home-based communities.

Acting Social Welfare Secretary Emmanuel Leyco said the DSWD will suspend the conditionalities of the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program so that the Marawi siege-affected beneficiaries will still receive financial assistance from the program.

Leyco also said DSWD partners with the Department of Trade and Industry in the provision of livelihood for the internally displaced persons of Marawi.

Distribution of food packs will continue in evacuation centers and home-based communities while relief goods good for 18 days will also be distributed to the returning evacuees.

“We will do a periodic reporting, magiging transparent tayo.

While other government agencies focus on the construction of infrastructures; DSWD focus on rebuilding social infrastructures.
